Image in Motion Theater
Image in Motion Theatre Company (IMT) was established to bring 3D animation together with movie special effects into conventional theater, through integration of live performances with virtual stage design, hence the name. As a result, the audiences witness a fantastic story-telling experience that is constantly interchangeable between multimedia theater presentations and live performing acts. The artistic director of IMT, Yau Chen, has had a decade of experience with the production of Hollywood animation, films and special effects. In 2000, she and her sister Serina Chen, who has been a long-time theater producer and art festival director, decided to collaborate and give birth to Image in Motion Theater Company, a multimedia theater production team that pioneers the first-of-its-kind multimedia theater in Taiwan.
Since its birth, IMT has gathered talents from various fields such as performing arts, animation, and special effect as well as to collaborate and discover all the possibilities of multimedia theater. IMT has created a high standard of theater production that fused multimedia with live performance. Step by step the dreams of successfully combining technology and performing arts have realized, inspiring the limitless and diverse artistic creativities.
